Multibrand and International player in the F&B sector - 25 years of AmRest success story

The AmRest Group based in Poland is one of the most important food service companies in Europe. AmRest operates restaurants under the brands KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Burger King, but also owns the brands La Tagliatella, Bacoa, Blue Forg, KABB and Sushi Shop. Up to-date, AmRest runs more than 2,100 restaurants with around 40,000 employees in the fast-food and casual dining section in 26 countries. In Germany the company currently operates 130 Starbucks subsidiaries, 75 Pizza Huts and 24 KFC restaurants.

Jerzy Tymofiejew, Chief Development Officer at AmRest Holding will talk about the challenges of such a giant in terms of expansion and organisation.

“25 years young” - opening one restaurant at a time
Highlighting a mature restaurant group working fast with a lot of patience

Sticks'n'Sushi is a Japanese restaurant with Danish roots. The first restaurant opened in March 1994 on Nansengade 59 in Copenhagen. The company had specialised itself in serving sushi and yakitori sticks in premises of modern design. The founders were Jens Rahbek Hansen, Thor Andersen and Kim Rahbek Hansen. Today, the group has in total twenty-one restaurants and well over 1,000 employees, distributed all over Copenhagen, London and Berlin.

Andreas Karlsson has been part of the Stick'n'Sushi team since the year 2011, he previously worked at Wagamama. In his capacity as Chief Operating Office, he has been running the operative business of the group from London since 2016.
